Happy Thanksgiving!

Eli loved this old typewriter toy!

We have so much to be thankful for! God has blessed us all tremendously. We are thankful that God has kept us healthy and safe this year and that He has provided for our needs.

Aunt Ashley is here visiting us! Eli has been enjoying his "A.A." so much! It's so sweet to hear him say A.A. and she even has him saying, "Happy Thanksgiving" although it sounds more like, "Happy Thblubla bla bla!"

Today we went over to Ken and Kathy's for a gourmet Thanksgiving feast. Eli had so much fun at Harley's "Grammy's" house. They are such a sweet family and made us feel right at home.

More with Mema and Granddad

It's going to take me weeks to undo the spoiling damage that Mema and Granddad have done to Eli. He and Granddad are best buds!

We went outside and did a little amateur photography...

BJ leaves for Nashville tomorrow and will be gone 4 days. Please keep him in your prayers for safe traveling.

Paddle Faster... I Hear Banjo Music

On Friday we all headed up to Camp Linn Haven in Linville, NC for a youth leaders retreat BJ organized for some of his volunteers. BJ had asked me to cook the meals for everyone and since Mema and Granddad are here they came along to keep an eye on Eli and Granddad made his famous Sausage Gravy and biscuits for breakfast this morning.

Last night we all went out to this little BBQ restaurant that had live music. Eli hasn't been as well behaved in a restaurant as he was last night in a really long time! He loved just watching and listening and dancing to the music!

Eli had so much fun playing with his pal Aiden ("Hawk") and his big sister Taryn too. Eli was a bit rough at first with Aiden...he was so happy to see him that he ran over to tackle hug him while grabbing his face...So when BJ gave out awards at the end of the retreat we weren't surprised that he gave Eli the "Give me 50 cents or I'll pound you!" award. I hope the kid will learn to understand his own strength soon.

Tonight we had to drive down the mountain through some pretty thick snow flakes! That was quite a new experience for my Floridian folks who were following behind us. But thankfully we all made it home in one piece!

I should have taken more pictures but I was busy in the kitchen... Here is one of Eli enjoying the music at Carolina BBQ and if you are friends with me on facebook you'll be able to see a video there.

Thanks for checking in!

Mema and Granddad are Here!

It was fun to watch them set all these inflatables up for the Fall Festival.

My mom brought Eli this bunny that my grandma made for me when I was a little girl. Eli likes him a lot.
Giving Mr. Bunny a drink.

Saturday was quite a day for us! SSLS was having their big Fall Festival so while we waited for Mema and Granddad to arrive we went over to check it out. He is too young for the big inflatables so we just played on the playground with Harley and Eli caught a glimpse of Clifford the Big Red Dog walking around. As we came back home we spotted Mema and Granddad standing outside our back door! Eli went right to his Granddad!
