Pajama Time

Those mischievous looks...they're already up to something!

We know Toby is sleeping well when those arms are straight up like that above his head! I just love him sooo much!

His bib says, "I love my big brother"

We call Toby "Big Tobe" (said in a deep voice) and "Sir Gruntsalot!

We are doing well. My guys keep their mommy busy! Eli is still doing great with pre-school. They visited the pumpkin patch and he came home with the cutest little pumpkin he'd picked out. Next week the city firemen are coming and bringing their fire truck. I think Eli will like that. He has been learning more about our community lately. He loves watching the school bus pick up and drop off the kids across the street and he has seen our garbage men pick up the trash last week and this week. And then today the mailman came to the door and dropped off a package for the boys from the Gust family.

Also, Eli's latest accomplishment is that he can count to 12. I will try to get that on video. He loves to count!

Toby is doing well too. He is becoming a great little sleeper. He still has some fussy time in the evenings but thankfully that is getting better. He is cooing and smiling and it just melts my heart! I'll take him next week to have him weighed at the breastfeeding support group.

Eli Starts Preschool!

I signed Eli up for a preschool program at a local church! He goes twice a week in the mornings. His first day was this week and he loved it! He pitched a bit of a fit when I dropped him off, but I knew as soon as I was out of sight that he would probably get interested in the toys and new friends. So I gave him some kisses, told him that I would be back to pick him up in a little while and left the room. I turned his paper work into the director and then went back to his classroom to peak in the window...sure enough he was quiet and playing in the little kitchen area of the classroom. I felt so many waves of emotion flood me! I could have cried! Later when I picked him up his teachers raved about how well he did! And he couldn't stop talking and telling me all about his morning at preschool! I think this will be a good thing!

Here are some shots of him as we were leaving to go to preschool.

Here are some shots of Toby. He got a sweet little personalized Noah's Ark blanket and layette from some friends of ours from church. It was so cute I thought I'd take some pictures.

And...some other random shots from lately...

Praying Mantis

Like most boys, Eli loves bugs! So he was so excited when we opened his curtains one morning this week and a huge praying mantis was on the screen! She pretty much hung out there all day and Eli had a lot of fun studying her and watching her movements. We observed that her head was shaped like a triangle, she had big eyes that were circles and her body was long and skinny like a stick and it was so cool watching her "pray." I even had to leave the curtain open during his nap so he could lay there and look at her while he was falling asleep! God's creation is so cool!

And here is Mr. Toby! Check out those cheeks!

Here is a smilebox with shots from the past 2 weeks. We have been enjoying every moment with Toby!
